About

Cafe Synthetique

Run by a self-organised group of people from different backgrounds, Cafe Synthetique in Edinburgh organises a series of informal events to talk about synthetic biology. Our aim is to make synthetic biology accessible to everyone and we believe that talking about it in an informal environment like a pub or cafe can result in interesting conversations.

While sharing a glimpse into the interesting world of synthetic biology, we hope to learn by encouraging questions and creating opportunities for open discussions. Through these conversations, in the long run, we hope to build a dialogue between public, academia and industry working in synthetic biology.

Each session will have three talks of 15 minutes each, sandwiched between engaging informal discussions. Join us on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. In the future, we hope to bring to you other forms of interactions and explore and build a shared understanding of synthetic biology.

Join us on the third Tuesday of each month in Sofi's Southside.
